We are seeking a Marketing and Communications Manager to join our small and dynamic team.

Position Objective

Silo’s Marketing and Communications Manager is responsible for developing and delivering integrated marketing campaigns across digital and traditional channels for the company’s annual season of artistic activity and key strategic projects. Taking a brand-led approach, a primary focus is the development of both existing and new audiences for Silo’s work, locally, regionally and internationally. 

This is a busy position that looks after a number of primary business relationships (external) and ensures Silo’s key marketing and communication objectives are met. We are looking for someone with a high degree of digital literacy, a creative and strategic thinker, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills. They will be engaged with the sector and motivated, demonstrating dynamism and initiative. The ability to work unsupervised and meet deadlines is critical. This is an exciting role for someone who is passionate about building a successful professional career within the arts and creative industries.

Selection Criteria:

  • Proven experience creating, managing and delivering innovative marketing campaigns across print and digital platforms which exceed targets

  • Exceptional writing and communication skills, with a track record developing comms that clearly communicate key messaging and brand

  • Budget management experience and proficiency with excel spreadsheets  

  • High degree of digital literacy with a proven track record and confidence working across digital campaigns, including using CRMs to drive audience development and engagement

  • Demonstrated experience in arts/ entertainment marketing, communications, and / or publicity 

  • A team player with a strong work ethic, who is highly organised, with the ability to multitask 

  • Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to problem solve, follow-through and meet deadlines while working as part of a small team, as well as independently

  • A clear connection to and value for arts and culture in Aotearoa with a sound understanding of the performing arts/ entertainment/ theatre sector (beneficial)

  • Current full NZ drivers license (beneficial)

This permanent full time position. We are hoping for the right candidate to start as soon as possible. 

Remuneration will be based on the candidate's skills and experience.

The role is based in Tāmaki Makaurau.
