The Factory Theatre is Tāmaki Makaurau's newest black-box theatre based in Onehunga, being managed by He Waka Eke Noa Charitable Trust.

We are looking to fill a number of casual positions for Ushers/General Theatre Staff for performances, workshops, rehearsals and general theatre bookings. These positions are on a casual basis, and would suit individuals looking for occasional work who have an interest/passion in theatre, live performances and enjoy being part of a close team. We offer flexible working hours, on-site parking (and are close to public transport) and the opportunity to be a part of a new theatre. Duties will be varied depending on what is happening in the theater, but will mostly revolve around ushering/ticket sales and some work behind the bar if needed.

  • Effective communication, reliability and flexibility are key.
  • A general knowledge of health and safety preferred.
  • Previous experience working in theatre is a bonus, although not essential for the right candidates.
How to apply
