Station Manager – Wellington Access Radio 106.1FM
Wellington Access Radio is looking for a new Station Manager to lead our non-profit organisation.
We are looking for an all-rounder with radio, arts, or community organisation leadership experience who knows how to channel strategy and creative ideas into operational results.
About the station
A community and diversity broadcaster Wellington Access Radio is also a podcast production facilitator. The station is a public service, not-for-profit and non-commercial broadcaster funded by NZ on Air. Each week it delivers over 90 programmes made by, for, and about the community.
Programming features local arts, culture, NZ music, and content that provides for the interests of women, students, youth, LGBTQIA+ communities, people with disabilities, and culturally and linguistically diverse communities. At the heart of Wellington Access Radio, volunteer programme-makers broadcast in 22 languages.
Based on Ghuznee Street in Pōneke Wellington, the station broadcasts to Wellington, Porirua, and the Hutt Valley on 106.1FM and provides a digital live stream and podcasts at www.accessradio.org.nz

About the position
You will lead a small talented team of technical, programming, community engagement, marketing, and accounts staff along with some 300 volunteer programme-makers.
As Station Manager, you will be:
The Station Manager reports to the Wellington Access Broadcasting Society governance board and provides narrative operational, financial, and programming reports to NZ on Air.
