The Bar and Events Manager oversees staff and operations of the bar.

They lead the delivery of the Pit Gallery and Bar events which increase the vibrancy and diversity of the BATS artistic programme.

 

DESIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Customer service experience

  • Ability to work as part of a team

  • Management of personnel and staff

  • Staff recruitment and induction

  • Proven initiative

  • Problem solving skills

  • Cash handling and POS experience

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Basic knowledge of theatre production

  • Experience in a bar and hospitality setting

  • Current Bar Manager’s Licence

  • A knowledge of the current NZ wine and craft beer scenes

  • Experience with spreadsheets and budgeting

  • An understanding of BATS kaupapa

  • A passion for New Zealand performance and people

 

This is a fixed part time 20hour a week position based in the evenings.
