Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting a permanent; full-time Administrator for the Miramar Creative Centre (MCC) to provide administration support including facility and office management along with efficient, accurate and timely frontline services and information to students, staff and visitors at the MCC .

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide general administrative support at the Miramar Creative Centre
  • Undertake financial processing tasks and manage invoices and receipts in our finance system
  • Support the team in coordinating events, tours, workshops and productions

You will be a motivated, customer-focused individual who is well organised.

You will thrive in this role with an excellent manner with all people, strong attention to detail, and self-management skills.

You will value working autonomously as well as contributing positively to a high performing team. You are effective at time management, forward planning and maintain a high standard of service to external clients, students and staff. You thrive working with a diverse range of stakeholders.

Key requirements:

  • Effective people skills
  • Ability to manage own workload
  • Experience in creative industries a plus
  • Experience in producing events and/or film production and knowledge of, or experience in the university environment or tertiary sectors would be desirable
  • A full NZ driver's licence is a plus
