Auckland Writers Festival Waituhi o Tāmaki is seeking a fulltime Festival Administrator to look after Festival administration and accounts, manage the Festival office, administer the Ockham New Zealand Book Awards, and provide project and other support services to the Board, the Chief Executive and the Festival team.

The Auckland Writers Festival is one of this country’s major cultural events, delivering a six-day, 170+ event programme every May and drawing writers and audience from around the world.

You will be someone who enjoys multi-tasking, has a good head for figures and an eye for detail, and likes implementing and improving systems and processes. You will have demonstrated skills in administration and project management, a collaborative style, good interpersonal skills, and a hands-on approach as part of a small and committed team.

Flexibility and initiative are a must, as are strong computer skills including Word and Excel. Experience in Xero is preferred but training will be offered for the right candidate. An interest in the arts, and in literature in particular, is desirable.

Start date is early 2023. Salary is negotiable depending on skills and experience. Applications close on Thursday 8 December.
