Te tūranga | The role
The Retail Delivery Lead is based in store, working closely with our team to develop, design and deliver our retail offerings across our sites. With a background in retail, you will be responsible for the daily support within our retail spaces. Responsible for the aesthetics and layout of our physical shops, you lead by example and are a safe set of hands, managing procurement and curation of stock for our retail and online shops stock, sales, operational performance and strategy for the year.
You design and deliver processes to improve and maintain the operations and you thrive in operational delivery. You love to be on the shop floor, and you may support retail at events and special launches outside of our core business hours and work alongside our visitor services team as a Cruise ship comes to town.
You’ll be as comfortable in front of the counter as you are behind and maintain accurate records of stock purchases and sales partnering with the visitor services team members to receive, account and restock shelves in our shops coordinating with Site Supervisors to conduct rolling stock takes. You will have a love of local brands support ethical production and responsible environmental management. Your role modelling also includes ensuring there is a Māori dimension at the heart of the retail experiences we offer.

- Tech savvy with the ability to use multiple platforms to deliver a diverse portfolio of retail experiences
- Committed to te ao Maori and use of te reo
- Expert administrator and proficient Office 365 users
- The very best team players with strong communication skills
- Confident delivering training and imparting passion
- Able to engage with a range of audiences including; tamariki, those with access and inclusion support needs and visitors from a range of backgrounds
- People with a can-do attitude and change savvy
- Rock solid reliable with sound time management skills
- Passionate about art, science, history, museums, or community building – sometimes all of these and more
- Flexible people committed to ensuring we can deliver all our services and programmes to the people of Wellington and beyond, able to work late nights, weekends and public holidays as rostered.
