SYMPOSIUM: AFTER THE EVENT

Adam Art Gallery and Victoria University of Wellington’s School of Architecture

A symposium bringing together artists, architects and designers to present projects that imaginatively reflect on the consequences of natural disaster.

Keynote Lecture
Joseph Becker: Seismicity: Lebbeus Woods and Architecture's Fault Lines

Joseph Becker, Assistant Curator of Architecture and Design at San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, will discuss the oeuvre of Lebbeus Woods: a visionary who dedicated his career to interrogating potential transformations of individual and collective space. Becker co-curated the exhibition Lebbeus Woods, Architect, which opened at SFMoMA in February 2013.

Joseph Becker’s visit is funded by New Zealand Institute of Architects. His lecture in Wellington is co-hosted with School of Architecture, Victoria University of Wellington.
