For a double shot of Gravity and local photography, Aucklanders can take in 10 exhibitions over 9 galleries and be driven between galleries in the warmth and comfort of a Mini.

After last years hugely successful night, artists exhibitions open will from 5.30pm to 9pm and include the legendary Gil Hanly’s retrospective “One of My Worlds” at Whitespace alongside cutting edge photographer Rebecca Swan’s own exhibition “Dying to Know”.
Roberta Thornley’s work, recently shown in Sydney’s Stills Gallery, will gets it’s first New Zealand outing at Tim Melville Gallery whilst around the corner on Lorne Street at Gow Langsford is Patrick Reynold’s work in “3 x1”.
Also showing their work in this massive fun event is Darren Glass at Anna Miles Gallery on High Street. K’ Road joins the fun this year with Te Karanga Gallery ‘Reverie’, whilst Ponsonby Road’s contributes Artstation’s “Transition”.
On the outer circuit is “Verge” at Satellite Gallery in Newton which shows work by Jenny Tomlin, Richard Smallfield, Hamish McDonald, with our Dominion Road outpost at The Digital Darkroom with Murray Noble’s “Taking Flight”.
Principle sponsor, Gravity is behind the evening making the entire evening free of charge. With cars leaving every 10 minutes between 6-9pm, patrons will be dropped off at a gallery and when they’re finished they can grab another car and be whisked off to the next one.

The Auckland Festival of Photography launches its 7th festival with the introduction of the Signature and Fringe Programmes.
With some of the finest photography the region has to offer, the Signature Programme encompasses 25 exhibitions, providing depth and diversity. Incorporated into this programme are the festival’s signature events; Talking Culture, Gravity Festival Tuesday and Olympus Auckland Photo Day.
To celebrate the cornerstone open-access nature of the festival is the introduction of a Fringe Program featuring 44 exhibitions from all over the Auckland Region shown in spaces from shop windows, cafes, contemporary gallery spaces to digital online shows.
