In celebration of NZ Music Month, NZTrio will showcase a selection from some of their favourite New Zealand composers in the first of two 'Kiwi Samplers'.

1 May 2011

Lopdell House Gallery, Titirangi

In celebration of NZ Music Month, NZTrio will showcase a richly varied selection from some of their favourite New Zealand composers, in the first of two "Kiwi Samplers".

Wayan Yudane's enchanting Entering the Stream evokes the sound of the breeze through wind chimes; David Downes' Kingdom, performed in this concert without its video component, will allow the compelling music to be centre stage; Victoria Kelly's Sono paints a mesmerising picture of a dream state; Chris Adams Jekyll Rat will receive its world premiere performance; Rachel Clement's Shifting States depicts fragile methods of glass making; Chris Gendall's Intaglio was inspired by a process of print making; John Psathas' dynamic Island Songs will be an uplifting finale to this celebration of NZ Music.
